About


The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is the specialized agency of the United Nations that promotes industrial development for poverty reduction, inclusive globalization and environmental sustainability. UNIDO is fully committed to contributing to the achievement of the SDGs, and contributes to the following SDGs, while delivering on its mandate to support Member States in achieving inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID).



  • SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure as it is fully embedded to UNIDO’s mandate;

  • SDG 5: Gender equality and the empowerment of women to which UNIDO contributes through cross-cutting priorities
