Description

About

EMMEH Farms, an indigenous agricultural enterprise established in 2013, is recognized for its unrivaled dedication to the cultivation of cashew and allied crops in Ghana. The farm's business model integrates agricultural production, community development, and environmental conservation.

A testament to this remarkable vision of this robust venture has been the successfully piloted 47-acre cashew farming through agroforestry. With 31 employees, it has impacted 106 farmers within the communities of our operations, setting the stage for a groundbreaking 100-Acre Model Cashew Farm Plantation (CFP) project. This endeavor aims to educate local farmers on modern and best agronomic practices, promoting sustainable agricultural practices in the area.

The enterprise's product line largely revolves around the cashew tree yield, which includes cashew nuts-in-shell and underutilized cashew fruit. Remarkable for their sustainability, these crops require a single initial investment and minimal recurrent spending, thereby promising a continuous revenue stream from their consistent harvest.

Furthermore, EMMEH Farms has plans to push the boundaries of conventional agribusiness by delving into the processing of cashew fruits—the underappreciated commodity of cashew production—into consumable beverages. In doing so, we anticipate generating additional income for both the enterprise and community farmers, effectively transforming potential waste into a valuable, profitable product.

The competitive advantages of EMMEH FARMS extend beyond its unique model. Community integration forms a cornerstone of its strategy, with co-operative societies and support for local groups ensuring a sustainable and mutually beneficial relationship. The long-term vision includes transforming the project into a tourist center, fostering agro tourism, and collaborating with NGOs and development agencies.

EMMEH Farms prioritizes plant health and growth through collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture's crop extension division.
